In a brand new statement, EA Sports told IGN: We don't wish to comment on rumors or speculation. However, we're committed to continuing to enhance Franchise as a feature of our Madden NFL 22 live streaming service, and even beyond. The two updates are part of the Franchise updates that we'll deliver to players in Madden NFL 22. We'll give more details regarding these updates in the new year.
The statement follows a report by Sports Gamers Online that EA had decided to scrap any additional franchise mode updates for Madden 22. The IGN report was based on an interview with Madden 22 director of production Seann Graddy. Graddy claimed that this year's content plan is "slightly less ambitious than those of the in the past" because the team is focused on a handful of key areas rather than trying to roll out features on the level of Superstar KO, a well-received arcade mode released in Madden 20.
"I would suggest that [the roadmap is] likely to be less ambitious than years past because we are really focused on a couple of key parts that are the core of Madden 22 and also getting going on Madden 23 in a big way," Graddy said at the time mut coins cheap. "So I'll stick to what we've always said during the past few years that we're a live service and we'll continue to update our game but definitely not planning to talk about a brand new mode."
